County Opens Bids On Road Equipment

The Douglas County Commission opened bids last Thursday morning on blades and culvert pipes, and awarded the contract to the low bidder on each.
The blades were quoted as follows:
Viebrock quoted single bevel blades at $10,779.30, and double bevel blades at $10,469.90.
Fabick Cat quoted blades at $10,572.30; Murphy Tractor & Equipment, $9,819; and Dowd Supply Co., $8,910.
Dowd’s bid was accepted.
Culvert pipes were bid as follows:
Metal Culverts, $10,221.85; and Viebrock, $9,295.18. The bid was awarded to Viebrock.
Present for the meeting were Presiding Commissioner Lance Stillings and District #1 Commissioner Craig Cunningham, as well as County Clerk Karry Davis.
Commissioners also signed court orders for the tax book and signed requisitions for the recorder of deeds, LEPC, and EMA.
