Ama K. Cruzan

Ama Katrina “Kay” Cruzan, former Cushing, Okla., resident now of Warner, Okla., passed away on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2015 at the age of 93 years.
The daughter of the late Lafe Cole and Aggie Tabor Cole, Kay was born in Ocie, Mo., on March 19, 1921. The family later moved to Oklahoma, and she graduated from Porter High School.
She was united in marriage to Thomas Milton Cruzan on Dec. 15, 1941 in Coweta, Okla., and to this union two sons, Tommy and Ed, were born. Her husband, Tom, preceded her in death on July 9, 2003.
Kay was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church. She had worked in the school cafeteria for Drumright and Oak Grove for several years. Kay enjoyed reading, doing Bible studies and cooking, which she was a wonderful cook.
Survivors include one son, Tommy Cruzan, of Warner; daughter-in-law, Marsha Cruzan, of Broken Arrow; five grandchildren, Michelle Blevins and her husband, Mike, Jay Cruzan and his wife, Kelly, Dana Vaught and her husband, Jon, Miranda Schneider and her husband, Bryan, and Lafe Cruzan and his wife, Kari; 12 great-grandchildren, Riley, Tucker and Jack Blevins, Chance, Rachel and Grant Cruzan, Taryn Vaught, Marek, Bret and Hannah Schneider and Kade and Laynie Cruzan; and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Kay was preceded in death by one son, Ed Cruzan, and one sister, Maxina Hampton.
Funeral services were Monday, Feb. 23, 2015 at 1 p.m., in the chapel of the Davis Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Euchee Valley Memorial Park Cemetery.
