January Citizens of the Month

Ava High School Citizens of the Month for January were recognized  at the noon meeting of the Ava Kiwanis Club last Thursday.
This month’s Citizens are Wyatt Gastineau and Jacey Swofford.
Wyatt Gastineau is freshman at AHS.  He is the son of Jim and Ginger Gastineau.
Wyatt’s clubs and activities consist of FFA, basketball, and baseball.
After high school he plans to attend college.  He is undecided on where.
Teacher comments regarding Gastineau include: Wyatt is a great leader in the classroom, hallways, and on the field or court.  He has outstanding character…
Teacher’s love having him in class, he always sets a good example for other students to follow.
Jacey Swofford is a junior at Ava High.  She is the daughter of Dan Swofford and Brandy Lyons.
Jacey’s clubs and activities include three years in FCA, three years in the Pep Club, three years in softball, three years in basketball, and one year in track.
Jacey is also very involved in her church.
After high school Jacey plans to attend college on a softball scholarship.
Teacher comments regarding Jacey:
Jacey is a leader on the field and court and has superior character.
Trustworthiness and honesty are just a couple of her great characteristics.
She is a great role model for underclassman.  She leads by example, and represents AHS with class.
