Ralph Dean Call

Ralph Dean Call, 71 years, 11 months, and 12 days old, passed to Heaven, surrounded by his family, on Jan. 3, 2015, at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton, Mo., from a sudden illness.
Ralph was born Jan. 21, 1943 in Ava, Mo., to Alva and Thelma (Strait) Call. He graduated from Ava High School in 1960.
On  June 9, 1962, Ralph and Jane Holt were united in marriage in Rochelle, Ill., and to this union three children were born.
Ralph had lived in Rochelle, Ill. for 15 years where he worked at Swift & Co. before coming back to Ava to live.
Ralph was a Christian and a  member of  Faith Rock Church. Ralph enjoyed spending time with his family and was well known for his silly jokes, chili cooking and great smile. He enjoyed camping with Jane, reading the Bible and playing Freecell on the computer. Ralph loved his job at Redbud Village.
Ralph was preceded by his parents; two brothers, Cecil and Loren Call; three sisters, Vera Fields, Dorothy Miller and Mary Call; and an infant brother.
Ralph is survived by his wife, Jane Call, Ava, Mo.; three children and their spouses, Kathy and Max Stephens, Fordland, Mo., Kelly and Craig Eaton, Clinton, Mo., and Kendall and Tammie Call, Ozark, Mo.; six grandchildren,  Lana and Eric Stephens, Cierra  and Calee Eaton and Allison  and Rylea Call; siblings, Clarence and Jane Call, Spirit Lake, Iowa, Troy and Hazel Call, West Plains, Mo., and Phyllis and Ed Robertson, Mansfield, Mo.;  nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Ralph will be Thursday, Jan. 8, at 2 p.m., in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, with burial in the Girdner Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 p.m.  to service time  in the funeral home. Officiating will be Max Stephens, Rev. Benny DeWitt and Craig Eaton.
Memorials may be made to the family as love offerings, to Girdner Cemetery or charity of choice.
