Hoopcoming 2015 Will Be Held This Friday Night
Ava High School Hoopcoming candidates for 2015 are, from left: King candidates Shannon Porter and John Luebbering (in back); queen candidates Brandi Cutbirth, Hailey Johnson and Dusty Graham; and king candidate Chase Gastineau. All six candidates are seniors. Hoopcoming coronation will be held Friday night during the Ava-Mansfield boys' basketball games.
Ava High School Hoopcoming for 2015 will be held this Friday night when the Bears take on the Mansfield Lions in basketball action.
Basketball play will begin at 5 p.m. with a freshman game, followed by the junior varsity, then the varsity bout. Hoopcoming coronation will be held between the JV and varsity games.
Hoopcoming queen contestants this year are seniors Brandi Cutbirth, Dusty Graham and Hailey Johnson. King candidates are senior basketball players Chase Gastineau, John Luebbering and Shannon Porter.
The Hoopcoming theme this year is Social Media, thus, the hash tag #AvaHoop2K15.
A Hoopcoming dance will be held in the elementary gym following the game until 11 p.m.
Special Hoopcoming dress up theme days this week have included: Maniac Monday – crazy sock/crazy hair; Transformation Tuesday – career day; What a Crush Wednesday – dress up as a favorite TV character/celebrity/rock star; Throwback Thursday – 70s, 80s or 90s day. Friday will be Fan Friday, Blue & Gold Day when students and faculty will wear their favorite Bear Wear.
