Ava Art Guild Closes The 2014 Season With Open House

The public and members are invited to an Open House at the Ava Art Guild on Saturday, Dec. 13, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Refreshments will be served all day and you can browse the many unique gifts and artwork by local artists.
The Guild’s Crescent Hotel giveaway ticket winner will be drawn at 4 p.m. Winners will be notified.
The Art Guild has had a wonderful year of events because of all its dedicated volunteers, members, and friends. Members appreciate the continued support of community projects. The Art Guild fosters the entrepreneurial spirit of local artists, artisans, and crafters and the retail store provides many an opportunity to sell their wares for a minimal donation. The gallery is a place to share ideas, meet friends, and have fun. The Guild is a 36-year-old Ava institution.
The Guild hosts two judged shows in the spring and fall, attends Hootin An Hollerin, and the Chamber of Commerce Glade Top Trail Flaming Fall Revue. More than 200 people attended the free monthly workshops, and the Guild brought art to over 380 children this year with its free Kids Art Camp, Mansfield Public Library Summer Art Day project, and Kiwanis Kids in the Park.
It is good for the community when organizations can partner up with other non-profit groups. The generosity of the membership came through with donations to  Norwood Children’s Home, Ava Band Boosters, the Food Pantry, and various Chamber events.
The Ava Art Guild Art Gallery will reopen on March 13, 2015 for the 2015 Season!
