School Board Takes Action in Closed Meeting
The Ava R-1 School Board met in a special closed session meeting on Monday, Nov. 24, with two items noted on the meeting agenda: §1) legal actions, and §2) personnel.
On Tuesday morning, Dr. Nancy Lawler visited the Herald to report the board took action by voting on a personnel issue; but, board members invoked a 72-hour period of silence before releasing the decision to the public.
Lawler said information will be made public after proper notification has occurred, and the 72-hour period expires.
