Clayton Ralph Barton, 86

Clayton Ralph Barton, age 86, was born April 2, 1928 in DeKalb County, Mo., the son of Ralph and Edith (Armagost) Barton and passed away Nov. 21, 2014 in Gainesville, Mo.
“C.R.” attended Maysville High School and enlisted in the United States Navy in 1946.  He then received his commercial pilot’s license and joined the Air Force Reserves.  He spent 13 months in Korea and was discharged in 1952. In 1963 “C.R.” joined the Army National Guard and was discharged April 2, 1988 at the age of 60 after 31 years of service.
“C.R.” is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Lois Steiner Hutchcraft; and brother, Russell Barton.
Survivors include his wife Lillian, Gainesville, Mo.; adopted son, Forrest Barton, Newport, Wash.; two brothers, Robert Barton (Idella), Maysville, and Dean Barton (Betty); several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be at 12 p.m Friday, Nov. 28, at Bram-Turner Funeral Home, Maysville, with burial in Union Star Cemetery. Visitation one hour prior to service time.
