SCA Coaches Name All-Conference Athletes

Coaches of the South Central Association met last week and named all-conference teams in football, softball and volleyball.
In addition, coaches of the Southwest Cross Country Coaches Association have named all-Southwest District Cross Country teams in classes 1-4.
The Southwest District includes all of southwest Missouri south of U.S. 50 and east to include Eminence, Summersville and Alton.
Making the Southwest District cross country 1st team from Ava were Bailey Ray, junior, who was also all-state in girls’ competition, and Caleb Stillings, junior.
Making 2nd team was Logan Sicilia, junior, who was all-state at Jefferson City last week.
Receiving honorable mention from Ava was senior Megan Cooper.
Ava’s Tristan Haltom, 6’4″, 300 lb. senior, was named lineman of the year in the SCA and Ava’s Coach Dan Swofford tied with Cabool’s Jake Brookshire for Coach of the Year honors.
