Three Arrested In Drug Raid Early Saturday Morning

During the early morning hours of Saturday, Oct. 11, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant on a residence on CR 303. The warrant was a result of a drug investigation conducted by Deputy Dakota Mings and Deputy Gabe Stroud.
At the time the search warrant was served, three subjects were taken into custody.
The renter, Vincent Adkins, age 35, of Ava, was currently on probation and parole for crimes he had committed in Taney County. Probation and Parole was contacted and a warrant has been issued for him violating his probation.
Formal charges have been requested through the prosecutor’s office for two counts of distribution/possession of a controlled substance.
Numerous items were seized during the search to include methamphetamine and surveillance cameras and equipment.
This has been an ongoing investigation over the last several months, according to Sheriff Chris Degase. Additional charges are expected.
