Douglas Co. Fair Will Host Two Big Events On Saturday

The Douglas County Fair Association will host two fun events this Saturday at the Douglas County Fairgrounds.
The Douglas County Fair and Ozarks All-Terrain will present an ATV rodeo at the fairgrounds, beginning at 11 a.m.
Saturday’s events are being dedicated to longtime fair supporters John Hart and Bill Bolding. A special dedication ceremony for the two deceased board members will be held at 10:30 a.m.
When the racing begins there will be classes for all ages and all types of ATVs, including dirt bikes.
Gates open at 9:30 a.m., and signup also begins at that time. A $5 entry fee will be collected.
Admission for the ATV Rodeo will be $5 for adults and $3 for children ages 4-11. Ages 3 and under will be admitted free.
At 7 o’clock Saturday evening, the Draggin’ Wagon Sled Team will join the Douglas County Fair Association for a truck pull, also at the fairgrounds.
More than a dozen classes will be on the bill, including powder puff classes for the ladies and home town classes for the local drivers.
Gates for the evening event will open at 5:30, and participation signup also starts at 5:30.
Admission for the truck pull will be $7 for adults and $4 for ages 5-11, with 4 and under admitted free.
Those planning to attend both events can save money by buying a pass good for both shows. The pass will be $12 for adults and $7 for children, with kids 4 and under admitted free with holders of the day pass.
