Wilda Faye Rowe, 70

Wilda Faye Rowe, 70 years, passed away on May 31, 2014 at her home.
Wilda was born April 16, 1944 in Thornfield, Mo., to Everett Murrill and Marie (Turner) Murrill.
Wilda was a resident of Squires, Mo., for many years, moving from Thornfield community and the Kansas City area.
She was retired from working as a supervisor in hospitality in Branson, Mo., and she also worked as a welder with Hutchen’s Steel Company in Seymour, Mo., and in addition worked as a nurses aid. In Kansas City, Mo.,  Wilda worked at Colonial Bakery.
Wilda and George Eugene “Gene” Gast were united in marriage in Kansas City, Mo., and to this union six children were born. He preceded her in death. In 1987 Wilda and Ronnie Rowe were united in marriage in Harrison, Ark.
Wilda was a Christian and had attended church with her mother, Marie, at Murray Church. She enjoyed gardening and taking care of her flowers. She also enjoyed crocheting, quilting, embroidery and painting.
Wilda was preceded in death by her parents, Everett Murrill and Marie Murrill Wilson; her first husband, Gene; and one son, Darrell Gast.
Wilda is survived by her husband, Ronnie Rowe, Squires, Mo.; five children, Danny Gast, Squires, Mo., Charlie Gast, Ava, Mo., Dennis Gast, Ozark, Mo., Calvin Gast, Bentonville, Ark., and David Gast, Taneyville, Mo.; 18 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two sisters, Kathleen Stout, Sparta, Mo., and Nancy Harper, Squires, Mo.; and many other relatives and friends.
Graveside services for Wilda will be Friday, June 6, at 10 a.m. in the Thornfield Cemetery, Thornfield, Mo., with Pastor Stan Collins officiating. Open viewing for the public will be Thursday at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, Mo. Memorials may be made to the family as a love offering.
