William Roy Morton, 48

William Roy (Bill) Morton, son of Alvin A. Morton and Theresa M. Morton (Gassell Bailey) was born June 29, 1965 in Mansfield Mo., and departed this life on Nov. 2, 2013 at the Glenwood Healthcare in Seymour, Mo., at the age of 48 years, 4 months, and 3 days.
William was preceded in death by his father, Alvin; mother Theresa; one son, Gregory; two grandsons, Aaron and Christopher; two brothers, James and Jerry; and two sisters, Rose Ellen, and Carol.
William is survived by his wife, Patricia; daughters, Lisa Melton, her husband, Curt, of Mtn. Grove, Mo., Shanna, her husband, David, of Poplar Bluff Mo., Tiffany, of Seymour, Mo., Marcy, of Ava, Mo., Naomi, of Mtn. Grove, Mo.; sons, JJ, his wife Jolanna, of Mansfield, Mo., Danny and Billy, of Ava Mo., Frank, of Mtn. Grove, Mo.; brother, Richard, sister Charlotte, sister, Lois, of Ava Mo., sister, Kathy, brother, Albert, of Mansfield Mo., and brother, Ben, of Viola, Ark.; and a  host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
William was raised in Douglas County, moved to Mansfield and raised a family.
William was self-employed as a mechanic, working and restoring older model vehicles. William loved to collect older model cars and trucks and was always happiest when outside working on them. William enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren, especially big family dinners and holiday get-togethers.
William was a loving father, grandfather, son and uncle.
Memorial services will be held Nov. 16, at 2 p.m. at the American Legion Hall in Mansfield, Mo.
