Art Guild Announces People’s Choice Awards
The votes are in for the Ava Art Guild Fall Show People’s Choice awards. Jim Davis’ “Wild Turkey”, a 3D metal work entry won the Adult Division. This is a magnificent 4-foot representation.
The award for the under 18 division was won by Chalice Sleep’s colored pencil drawing titled, “Sleeping Puppy.” Chalice is an 11-year-old home schooled student from Ava. This is Chalice’s first entry.
The Art Guild congratulates both winners. Special recognition also goes to Revondah Baker, judge, and Rita Fancher, show director.
A special memorial exhibit opens at the gallery Nov. 1 through Nov. 23. This is a tribute to Guild member Caryn Fox’s late sister, Ellen Fox, and late father, Manny Fox. Visit our website at avaartguild.org.
The Guild’s winter fundraiser is also under way, with the drawing to be held Dec. 7, at 3 p.m., at the open house. The Ava Art Guild is a non-profit organization. The Art Gallery on E.
