Marie Murrill Wilson, 86

Marie C. Wilson, 86 years, 9 months, and 12 days old, passed to heaven on Oct. 16, 2013 at her home with her family by her side.
Marie was born Jan. 4, 1927 in Thornfield, Mo., to Willis Melvin and Daisy Bell (Lawson) Turner.
Marie was a lifelong resident of the Squires community. She retired from Rawlings Sporting Goods in Ava as a Quality Control supervisor for 32 years. Marie was also a farmer.
On Aug. 25, 1942 Marie and Everett Murrill were united in marriage in Yellville, Ark., and to this union three daughters were born. Everett preceded her in death in 1990.
Later on Marie married Herbert Wilson and he also preceded her in death.
Marie was a Christian and a member of the Thornfield Missionary Baptist Church. She served there as a Sunday School teacher for many years. She enjoyed fishing, quilting, gardening, crocheting, cooking and most of all spending time with her family. Marie was a strong independent woman. She was totally dedicated to her Lord and Savior and her family.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Everett Murrill and Herbert Wilson; two sisters, Barbara Binger and Eva Turner; two brothers, Ancil Turner and an infant brother; a grandson, Darrell Gast; two great grandsons, Garrett and Matthew Gast.
Marie is survived by three daughters and their spouses, Wilda and Ronnie Rowe, Squires, Mo., Kathleen and Bobby Stout, Sparta, Mo., and Nancy and Bo Harper, Ava, Mo.; 13 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Cecil and Dottie Turner, Georgia, and Ardith Turner, Springfield, Mo.; and one sister, Norma and Don Freeman, Squires, Mo.; many nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Marie will be Saturday, Oct. 19, at 2 p.m. at the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, with Pastor Stan Collins officiating. Burial will follow in the Thornfield Cemetery, Thornfield, Mo. Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
