County Democrats Invite Applications For Recorder’s Job
The Douglas County Democrat Club announced this week there is going to be an opening in the Douglas County’s Recorder of Deeds office.
Tina Boyd will resign her position as county recorder at the end of this month. Individuals interested in applying for this position should go to http://boards.mo.gov/UserPages/Home.aspx for more information.
Applications can be made online, but applicants need to keep in mind that a recommendation will be made to the governor’s office by the Douglas County Democrats as to the applicant which the group feels is most qualified. Any applicant who wants to be considered for this recommendation should apply online and also turn in a packet including his or her application and letters of recommendations to the Douglas County Clerk’s office. The deadline to turn in this information is Oct. 8, 2013, at 4:30 p.m.
The Douglas County Democrats will host a forum at the Ava Community Center at 108 NE 2nd Avenue on Oct. 10 at 6 p.m. The public is welcome to attend. All applicants will be given an opportunity to detail their qualifications by answering questions posed by our panel. The public will also be given an opportunity to ask questions of these applicants. After this forum the Douglas County Democrats will convene to determine which applicant will be recommended for this appointment to Gov. Jay Nixon, who will make this appointment later this year.
Mark your calendars to attend this forum to meet all the applicants for Douglas County Recorder of Deeds. Any questions may be directed to Teresa Tost, chair of Douglas County Democrats, at (417) 543-2715.
