Horse Show Saturday At Ava Saddle Club

Ava Saddle Club will host a charity horse show and silent auction this Saturday at the Saddle Club Arena west of Ava.
Proceeds of the event will go to the Ava Schools Back Pack Program.
The horse show begins at 1 p.m. and will offer 23 “mostly fun” classes, including adult pleasure and youth pleasure (11 to 18) classes.
The silent auction will begin at 12:30 and run until 3:30 p.m.
The auction will offer several items donated by local merchants and Saddle Club members, with a wide range of variety, from western equipment to household.
All proceeds benefit Coach Liz Kyger’s Back Pack Program that provides nutritious weekend food for school children so no child goes hungry. Students from Ms. Kyger’s leadership class, and 4-H members, will be collecting items along with Saddle Club members for the auction. All donations are welcome.
Admission to the horse show is free and all are welcome to attend. The horse show welcomes all breeds of horses.
The show will offer three divisions for High Point awards – Adult, Youth (11-18) and Pee Wee (10 and under). There will be awards for High Point placings from first through fifth.
The lunch stand will be open.
Last year’s event raised over $1,000 and the sponsors are hoping to top that amount this year.
