Constitution Week Proclaimed Sept. 17-23

Local members of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) met at City Hall Tuesday afternoon to witness the signing of a Constitution Week proclamation by Ava Mayor Eddie Maggard. Constitution week will be observed Sept. 17-23. Sept. 17 marks the 226th anniversary of the drafting of the Constitution of the United States of America by the Constitutional Convention.
