Lady Bears Softball Team Will Host 3rd Hospice Awareness

AHS Lady Bears softball team will host their 3rd annual Hospice Awareness game on Sept. 23 vs. Mtn. Grove at 4:30 p.m.

This game serves as a fundraiser for a community-based hospice program in our area – Hospice Compassus.

Lady Bears will wear special jerseys provided by David Coday-State Farm Insurance for this game.  You may purchase a t-shirt to match the team jerseys to support this fundraiser.  Prices are $13 for shirt with design only on front or you can add your favorite player name and number to back of shirt for $15.

To purchase a t-shirt or make a donation contact any team member, Coach Sawyer at 683-7729 or Sara Sawyer at 683-7731. All orders must be paid for at the time of order and submitted by Sept. 14.

Other sponsors for this event include Mercy Clinic, KKOZ, Pro Design Screenprinting and Primitive Thymes.

All proceeds raised for this fundraiser will be used for patients within our community.  Donating in honor of someone or in memory of a hospice patient is a practical way to show support for a bereaved family.  The gift provides funds for hospice patient care expenses not covered by Medicare, Medicaid or insurance.  All donations are tax deductible.
