Free Essential Oils Class To Be Held in Ava

The American public today is largely unfamiliar with how to use traditional healing plants, even though they have been used extensively in many parts of the world throughout human history. The traditional healing plants are safe, effective, practical to use, quick-acting, and comparatively inexpensive.

One of the best ways to use these plants are as essential oils, also called liquid copals. The use of these plants to combat infections, and treat a variety of ailments are documented in medical and scientific literature around the world. For instance, in France the use of essential oils is taught in medical schools and is used extensively.  Because the use of essential oils is so common in France, their cost is covered by insurance companies, just as other medicines and treatments are.

Unlike plant oils that are used in perfumes and food flavorings, high quality therapeutic grade liquid copals go through a delicate distilling process, and are from 50 to 70 times more potent than the herbs or plants they are derived from. Essential oils are applied to the skin, the body’s largest organ, and are put to use very quickly. Unlike herbs in pill form, essential oils don’t have to go through the digestive tract before they can be utilized. They also retain their potency because they are not digested. Acids and enzymes in the stomach destroy many oral supplements before they can be fully absorbed by the body.  In the case of essential oils, however, once they penetrate the skin, they reach every single cell within 20 minutes.

In their natural state in plants, essential oils are synthesized by the plant’s chemistry and circulated through the stems, leaves, flowers and roots. They are called “essential” oils because they contain the elements that make each plant unique, and are essential for the plant’s survival. They are a key component of the plant’s immune system. These oils are what help the plants repel unwanted insects, heal them when injured, and prevent water loss from foliage in hot or dry climates. They even attract the bees and other insects that aid in pollination. With proper handling and careful distillation, these same properties for healing and longevity are retained when the oils are extracted from the plants as liquid copals. In humans, these oils help stimulate the immune system, and they are naturally antiviral, anti-microbial, antiseptic, anti-tumoral, antifungal…and so much more!

The classes will be taught by Bevonne Birch Crookston, a Native American Medicine Woman of the Nemenhah Band. Bevonne also created many of the essential oil blends sold at N.A.N. oils on the square. Here you will learn the importance of using high quality essential oils and how to find them without being fooled by lower-quality imitations. You will also learn how essential oils can aid you in overcoming sickness and maintaining vitality, assist in weight management, and help the body gain and maintain superior health and longevity of life. There are many things these oils can do to improve health in a safe, natural way, with no side effects.
