Elisebeth Penn’s pencil drawing, “Girlie Girl”, was selected by the public as People’s Choice in the Under 18 division at the Ava Art Guild Spring Art Show held May 28-June 7 at the Ava Art Gallery.

The people have spoken and they have chosen the winners of the People’s Choice awards for adult and under 18 categories from the Spring Art Show.
Visitors to the art show were encouraged to vote for their favorite piece of art while browsing the over 80 entries that were included in the art show.
Congratulationis go to Hannah Romaker with her acrylic painting “Brothers in Arms” which received the People’s Choice award in the open division. This was Hannah’s first time entering in the art show but it was a very popular painting with its bold subject.
The winner of the junior, under 18, category was Elisebeth Penn with her pencil drawing titled “Girlie Girl.”  She did a great job and the Guild is also excited to have her as a new member, and hopes to see more art from her in the future.
