T.O.P.S.
March 5th meeting was called to order by Sharon with 14 weighing in with a loss of 13.5 lbs. The high loser was Kathleen. Linda stayed the same.
The lesson was by Kathleen on Diabetes.
When doing diabetes meal planning make it and follow it. Make sure to balance food and insulin to keep under control. Measuring your food is key. Eat a wide variety as it is helpful. Fats have the most calories such as whole milk and cheese. Reduce liquid drinks like juice and pop. Read food labels. Eating several small meals can help keep sugar levels even. Start with gentle exercise like walking even 3-10 minutes. Warm up and cool down if you do longer sessions like 30 minutes or a hour.
SRD is in April in Springfield. This is the election meeting of officers President/Leader – Sharon, Co-Leader – Margaret, Secretary – Rachel and Treasurer – Evelyn. Installation of officers will be in April. Weight recorders stayed the same.
