Noble Church Hosts Celebration For Pastor

On Sunday afternoon, February 3, Noble Church and it’s congregation was host for a celebration honoring their pastor, Sister Maxine Lund, and husband, Jim, for 50 years of preaching the gospel. Sister Maxine preached her first “short” sermon, January 27, 1963, at Girdner Church. Many members of churches she has pastored, friends and family, gathered in the basement for a bountiful dinner, followed by anniversary cake and punch. All those in attendance enjoyed the meal together, fellowship, and taking pictures. Pictures were also displayed of many of those in her congregations. Those attending were: Jerry and Jena Moyer, Sybil Gheer, Freeman Porter, Mike and Lucy Jones, Christy Vauter and Morgan Yeary, Carissa, Chasity and Skylar Stanton, Greg Twitty, Theta Porter, Mark and Delores Ray, Mary Leschinsky, Larry and Pam Tucker, Maynard Lawson, Marlin Tucker, Jim Miller and daughter, Amanda and her son, Skylar, Travis and Pam Tucker, Elizabeth and Ethan, Ronda Hawkins, Bro. Charles McFarland, Faith Haskins, Bro. Robert and Becky Roberts, Bro. Mahlon and Randi Schmucker, Claude Robertson, Nora Edwards, Mary Mackey, Sandy Walker, Adrain and Glenette Brown, Sherry Cutbirth, Mindy Pinckney and Breckyn, Vicky Dudley, John and Dorothy Locke, and Kay Hutchison.

Jim and Maxine greatly appreciated their home church and all others who helped make it a good day to remember and hope no names were accidentally omitted.
