David Miller, 60

Miller DavidDavid  Miller, 60 years, 2 months, and 24 days old, passed to heaven on Jan. 8, 2013 at his home in Ava.
David was born Oct. 15, 1952 in Springfield, Mo., to Bobby Joe and Patricia (Wood) Miller. He graduated from Ava High School. David was a veteran and served in the United States Air Force.
David worked as a trouble shooter for Missouri Rural Water Association which took him all over Missouri and before that he worked 23 years for the City of Ava running the Water Treatment Plant.
David and Sally (Van Niekerk) were united in marriage at Eureka Springs, Ark.,  on July 23, 2004.
David enjoyed art and painting landscapes, cooking, fishing, gardening and just being outdoors. He was a prankster and loved making people laugh. David loved his girls and his grandkids.
David was preceded by his parents and a granddaughter, Caelyn.
David is survived by his wife Sally, of the home;  five daughters, Elisha Page and husband, Donald, Springfield, Mo., Chelsea Osbourn and husband, Carless, Kirbyville, Mo.,  Lynsey Miller, Springfield, Mo.,  Paige Miller, Nixa, Mo., and Jessi Miller, Springfield, Mo.; four grandchildren, Severen, Saylor, Carlee, Zury and a grandson on the way; brothers, Bob Miller and wife Jeanie, and Jon Miller; and many other friends and family.
A private graveside service was held at the Oak Grove Cemetery, Wasola, Mo., with Pastor Oren Alcorn officiating. A memorial service for David will be held Saturday, Jan. 12, at 2 p.m. at the Woodpecker Farm in Nottinghill, Mo., near Gainesville.   Memorials may be made to the family as love offerings.
