Ava School Election Legal

Notice is hereby given to the qualified voters of the Ava R-I School District of Ava, MO that two members will be elected to the Board of Education for a term of three years each at the April 2, 2013 election.  Candidates must be at least 24 years of age, a citizen of the United States, a resident taxpayer of the school district, and will have resided in Missouri for a minimum of one year preceding the election. The opening date for candidates to file for these positions is December 11, 2012, 8:00 A.M. Candidates may file during regular business hours, 8:00 A.M. – 4:30 P.M. at the district administration office located at 507 NE 3^rd Street.  The closing date for filing is January 15, 2013, 5:00 P.M.  The office will be closed December 22 – January 1, 2012 for the Christmas Holidays and may be closed at other time due to inclement weather.
