Two Hurt In Separate Wrecks

Daniel W. Young, 31, of Ava, suffered moderate injuries last Thursday when his pickup was struck in the rear by another car.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said the wreck occurred on Highway 125, four miles south of Strafford in Greene County.

Young’s 1992 Ford Ranger was waiting to make a left turn and was rear-ended by a 2006 Chevrolet Impala driven by Charlotte S. Iorg, 64, of Bruner. The wreck happened at 3:40 p.m.

Young was taken to Mercy Hospital, Springfield, for treatment.

Michael S. Evans, 33, of West Plains, was taken to Ozarks Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries following a one-vehicle accident on Highway 14, east of Highway 181 in Douglas County on Oct. 26.

The Highway Patrol said Evans’ 2001 Ford pickup ran off the roadway and overturned.

The wreck occurred at 2:30 p.m.
