Norwood School Board Meets Oct. 17

The Norwood School Board met Wednesday, Oct. 17.

The agenda was adopted and the consent agenda items were approved.                                                                                         Superintendent of Schools John Eaton reported on budget, utility usage and other district business.

Jared Terry, elementary principal, reported on enrollment and other news from EC-5; and Brian Wilbanks, high school principal, reported on enrollment and other news from 6-12.

A middle school social was approved for Oct. 30 and Junior-Senior Prom was approved for March 16 at the Tower Club in Springfield.

The school audit for 2011-2012 school year was accepted.

The board also approved Drew Berry to coach elementary basketball.

Also approved was moving the November board meeting from Nov. 21  to Nov. 15. The next meeting will be held Thursday, Nov. 15, at 5 p.m., in the high school library.
