Jeanne F. Falls Martelli, 86

Jeanne F. Falls Martelli was born April 29, 1925 in Francisco, Ind., to Gilbert and Donna (Morton) Falls. Jeanne passed away peacefully at her home on Oct. 11, 2012.

Jeanne is survived by her daughter, Donna (Ron) Rainbolt, of Ava, Mo.; her son, Keith Martelli, of Pittsburgh, Pa.; two grandchildren, Ronda (Paul) Spence, and Dawn (Kevin) Doyle; as well as four great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Joanne (Bob) Fiscus; two brothers, Larry (Connie) Falls and Phillip Falls; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Lou; brother Prentice Falls; and sister-in-law Wanda Falls.

Before “retiring” to Ava from northwest Indiana, Jeanne was very active in many community organizations while working in the accounting field. After moving to the Ozarks Jeanne and her daughter, Donna, began crafting handmade Santa figures which won numerous awards.

Jeanne’s smile, sense of humor, hospitality and love will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Interment will be at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Mo.

At her request there will be no visitation or services. Donations may be made in her name to the Missouri Veterans Cemetery or Hospice Compassus of Mtn. Grove, Mo. All arrangements were under the care and direction of Ava Family Funeral Home, Ava, Mo.
