Ambulance District Donates Vehicle to Goodhope Fire Dept.

A 2006 Ford ambulance that has been taken out of service by Cox Health Systems and the Ava Area Ambulance District was donated to the Goodhope Fire Department this week. The Ava Area Ambulance District Board of Directors agreed to give the vehicle to Goodhope which will convert the vehicle into a rescue unit. In the photo above, Ambulance Board member Jim Brown (second from left) is handing the vehicle title to Nina Carter, president of the Goodhope Fire Dept. Board. Next to them, Ambulance Board member Jim Stafford is handing the keys to the vehicle to Fire Chief Richard Mitchell.
