Star Workers Extension Club had their September meeting the 13th at the park in Ava. Marie King was hostess. She called the meeting to order by saying the club collect and pledge to the flag. Devotional was poems by Marie “So Little Time”, Doris Holman “I Put My Care Away Today” and Macie Shireman, “A Little Road.”

We played a game, a word puzzle. Doris got the door prize. Members in attendance were Marie, Kitty Descoteau, Carol Riggs, Macie and Doris. We missed Billy, Charlie, Sharon and Stan.

Roll call was Getting Ready for Winter. During the business meeting we talked about going out to eat in October and going to Apple Butter Days. We closed our meeting with prayer and we ate dinner. In the evening we made a lap robe for the nursing home. Don’t forget our meeting September 20 at Bethany Baptist Church from 9-11 a.m. and D.O.W. Achievement Day in Ozark County, October 16. We are supposed to bring fruits and veggies to this meeting along with door prize and things for a silent auction. Next club meeting will be at Doris’.
