Clifford Ray “C.R” Woolman III, 26

Clifford Ray  “C.R.” Woolman, III, age 26, of Aurora, Mo., passed away Friday, July 27, 2012, in an automobile accident east of Monett, Mo.

He was born Dec. 31, 1985, in McKinney, Texas, the son of Clifford “J.R.” Woolman Jr. and Penny (Hall) Woolman.

On Oct. 7, 2006, in Springfield, Mo., he was united in marriage to Erica Stever, who survives.  Also surviving are one son, Landan Heithold, of the home; one daughter, Sakiya Woolman, of the home; his father and step-mother, J.R. and Kim Woolman, of Ava, Mo.; his mother and step-father, Penny and Jarrell Gaston, of Rhome, Texas; one brother, Chris Woolman, of Ava, Mo.; and one sister, Cindy Howerton and her husband, William, of Rhome, Texas; grandparents, Clifford and Wanda Woolman, Ava, Mo., and Brent and Louella Hall, of Celina, Texas; and a host of other family and friends.

Preceding him in death was one grandmother, Elda Faye Medlock.

Clifford “C.R.” was a graduate of Ava High School in Ava, Mo.  He had worked for Wells Aluminum in Monett as a fabricator and was in the process of becoming a fireman for the Joplin Fire Department.  He had recently moved from Republic, Mo., to Aurora to make his home and was currently a volunteer with the Republic Fire Department.  Some of his favorite pastimes were firefighting, health and fitness, coaching his children’s ball teams, an absolute love of music, and was an avid reader of comic books.

The family received friends at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Ava.
