Chaz Alderson Signs To Play Baseball With Maplewood
On July 2, Ozark High School graduate Chaz Alderson signed a letter of intent to play baseball for Maplewood Junior College.
Maplewood, located near Kansas City, is one of the four hub campus sites of Metropolitan Community College. Chaz joins fellow graduate Landon Snyder who signed with Maplewood earlier in the year.
Chaz was thrown into the No. 1 pitching position for the Tigers this year as Snyder missed most of the season with an injury. He stepped up in that role finishing the season with six wins and only one loss.
He gave up 13 earned runs on the season. He also only walked 14 while striking out 59. His earned run average was 2.70.
Offensively, Alderson had a batting average of .310 on the season.
Chaz was selected first team all-conference in the Central Ozark Conference. He was also 2nd team All-Ozarks which includes all classes of schools in the area.
Chaz is the son of Tommy and Angie Alderson Ozark, and theĀ grandson of Bob and Phyllis Biggs, Squires, and Dale and Della Alderson, of Ava.
