Ava Driver Hurt In One-Car Crash In Ozark County

Heavy rainfall in Ozark County last Thursday was listed as the cause of a one-vehicle crash that resulted in injuries to an Ava teenager.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said Jacob C. Madche, 18, was traveling west on Route W, 11 miles west of Gainesville when he crashed the 1995 Jeep Wrangler he was driving.

Tpr. Rob Crewse said the driver’s vision was obstructed by heavy rainfall when the crash occurred at 4:30 p.m. The Jeep ran off the left side of the roadway in a curve and overturned.

Madche was taken by ambulance to Baxter County Regional Hospital in Mtn. Home, Ark., with moderate injuries, according to the report.

The driver was wearing a seatbelt, the report stated.
