Mildred “Liz” Bailey, 87

Mildred “Liz” Bailey, 87, Ozark, Mo, formerly of Ava, passed away in Ozark Riverview Manor Friday, June 15, 2012.  Liz was born June 24, 1924, in Ava, Mo., the daughter of Tom and Ollie (Posey) Pellham.  On Jan. 17, 1942, she was united in marriage to Howard Bailey.

Liz worked at several jobs, but her main career was being a faithful wife, loving mother and always putting her family and faith in God first in her life. Liz also enjoyed attending church services and especially felt comfortable at Mt. Tabor General Baptist. She loved chocolate pie and Pat would always light up her eyes with See’s Candy.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard, and her parents.

Liz is survived by two daughters, Linda Kay Perry of Beaverton, Ore., and Patsy Spence and husband Henry of Oklahoma City, Okla.; three grandchildren, Shelley Becker, Melissa Spence and Steven Perry; two great-grandchildren, Britney Ross and Cory Elliot; her very special dogs Susie and Tina, many other relatives and several caring friends.

Graveside funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Monday, June 18, in Mt. Tabor Cemetery, Ava, Mo.  Visitation was held 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday, June 17 in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark. Online condolences may be shared at www.barnesfamilyfunerals. com.
