James Thomas ‘Jim’ Sallee, 100

James Thomas Sallee, 100 years, 7 months, and 5 days old, passed to heaven on June 18, 2012 at Mt. Vernon Place Care Center, Mt. Vernon, Mo.

Jim was born Nov. 13, 1911 in Pondfork, Mo., to James Barton and Mary Ellen (Hobbs) Sallee.

Jim is survived by two children, Carl Sallee, Mt. Vernon, and Bernice (Sally) Knight, Eagle Rock; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be Thursday, June 21, at 11 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, with burial in the Thornfield Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 10 a.m. to service time in the funeral home. Officiating will be Sister Nylene  McKnight.
