Caring Kids Stay Busy With Community Service Activities
Caring Kids have been been very busy the last month of school
Jana Hesterlee arranged for a work night for the kids at the Ozark Food Harvest. Students bagged donation bags, picked up trash in the parking area, stocked the pantry and carry donations into the warehouse.
At the Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare center, Bears Den donated over $200 worth of flowers and vegetables. During their visit, Caring Kids assisted residents (like Mr. Tom Hawkins) set up a vegetable garden and plant flowers in container gardens.
Twenty-four students in the Caring Kids class picked up trash at Arkansas View on Glade Top. Thanks to the U.S. Forest Service, Michael Stewart and Nettie Sitting Up Perez for providing gloves and trash bags and the opportunity for us to contribute.
After touring the facility at Boys and Girls Club in Springfield, Caring Kids selected young buddies to mentor while reading, playing games and doing art projects.
