Eldon E. Millard, 71

Eldon E. (Shorty) Millard, 71, passed away on April 12, 2012, at North Western Medical Hospital, Chicago, Ill.
He is survived by one sister, Carol Millard Cunningham, of Ava, and husband, Donald; nephew Craig Cunningham and wife, Debbie, and niece Janet Cunningham, all of Ava; and other nieces, nephews and friends.
He graduated from Mansfield High School and then joined the United States Army. He moved to the Joliet/Elwood, Ill., area where he worked for Caterpillar for 32 years, then retired.
Memorial service was held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery with military rites. Pastor Kenneth McIntosh and Pastor Rick Forrest officiated.
Arrangements were by Fred C. Dames Funeral Home in Joliet, Ill.
