FFA Students Gearing Up For Local Auction April 26

The Future Farmers of America is once again hosting the annual FFA Labor Auction on Thursday, April 26, at the Douglas County Livestock facility, south of Ava.  Bidding will start at 10 a.m.

More than 30 FFA members are looking forward to participating in the fundraiser, as each one will be offered on the auction block for purchase.   Terms of the sale:  8 hours of labor per purchase.

This year have some fun, make a new friend, and let one or more of these young, energetic students help you, a neighbor, relative or friend, with yard or garden work, everyday chores, or let them lend a hand on a special project –– take advantage of their talent and ability, and their youthful vitality and strength.

This event promises to be a good deal for buyers, because in 2011, the average auction price was $35.

So, take advantage of this opportunity, mark your calendar and get ready to support and work with students involved in the local FFA chapter. The group is seeking our community support and this fundraiser is a win-win for everyone who gets involved.
