T.O.P.S.

This week we had fourteen people weigh in, with a total weight-loss of thirteen and 3/4 lbs.  One person stayed the same weight.  Billy, Rachel and Sharon were high-losers.

Rosie’s name was drawn to receive free dues for the month of April.  Audrey, Delores, Linda and Rachel received charms for walking 100 miles each.  Vince received two charms for walking 200 miles.  Congratulations to these folks!

Sharon read a newsletter from Area Coordinator, Randy Paul.

Sharon presented the program with an article from realage.com entitled, “How to Lower Cholesterol Naturally With Almonds”.

As T.O.P.S. Secretary for the past six years, I’ve enjoyed being correspondent for the Douglas County Herald, and I would like to thank Mindy and Judy at the Herald office.  As new Secretary, Rachel will take over as the T.O.P.S. correspondent.

T.O.P.S. (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) is a non-profit, international weight-loss support group open to anyone seven years of age or older.  The #0720 chapter meets every Tuesday afternoon in the courthouse basement.  Weigh-in is held from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.  Come visit us and sit in on a meeting if you would like to find out more about T.O.P.S.  We welcome anyone looking to get, and stay, healthy.
