T.O.P.S.

Tuesday, March 13th, we had thirteen people weigh in, with a total weight-loss of eleven and 1/2 lbs.  Two people stayed the same weight.  Laurena was high-loser.

Judy, Margaret, and Sharon received charms for walking 100 miles each.  Congratulations!  Any steady aerobic exercise of fifteen minutes duration counts as one mile walked.

Judy presented the program with a report of a T.O.P.S. chapter in California, which she attended while visiting her daughter during January and February.  She shared a lot of good, inspirational ideas from that chapter.

Tuesday, March 20th, we had  fifteen people weigh in, with a total weight-loss of ten lbs.  Kathleen was high-loser.

Evelyn put a chart on the wall to track and encourage those people who are within ten lbs. of their goal weight.

Sharon presented the program with an article from realage.com entitled, “Get In Step”, about the benefits of walking, “the most underrated prescription for good health”.

T.O.P.S. (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) is a non-profit, international weight-loss support group open to anyone seven years of age or older.  The #0720 chapter meets every Tuesday afternoon in the courthouse basement.  Weigh-in is held from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.  Come visit us and sit in on a meeting if you would like to find out more about T.O.P.S.  We welcome anyone looking to get, and stay, healthy.
