The White River Assn. of General Baptists Will Meet
The 130th session of the White River Association of General Baptists will be called to order on Friday, April 13 and end on Saturday night, April 14.
The Association campgrounds are located one and a half miles south of Taneyville on Highway 76.
Communion will be held on Thursday night, April 12 at 7 p.m. with the Salem Church in charge, followed by the Big Creek Bluegrass Band.
Friday morning preaching services will be by Sis. Maxine Lund followed by reports and in the afternoon. Bro. Robert Roberts will bring the message.
Friday night preaching will begin at 7 p.m. with Bro. James Hathcock. Special emphasis will be given to the youth, camping sessions and opening of the “mite boxes.”
Bro. David Welsh, pastor of the Goodhope General Baptist church, will preach the opening message Saturday, with Bro. Van Menzies bringing the afternoon sermon and Bro. Bob Comer closing out the services on Saturday night.
The theme this year is “Jesus Is…” and the moderator is Bro. Don Yarger, pastor of the Salem General Baptist Church.
Each morning session begins at 10 a.m. and each evening service begins at 7 p.m. with reports and business sessions in between.
