Baseball Bears Will Play In West Plains Tournament Fri., Sat.

The Ava High School Baseball Bears are scheduled to be in action Friday and Saturday in the West Plains Wooden Bat Tournament.

This tournament gives the Bears an opportunity to see teams they don’t normally see in the regular schedule, said Coach Rex Sawyer.

The Bears will open with Neelyville at 4:30 Friday. The 6:30 game Friday will be between Naylor and Mtn. View.

On Saturday, the Bears will face Winona at 9 a.m. and will play Naylor at 1 o’clock. Thayer is also in the tournament.

The Bears will play at Salem Monday, April 2, in SCA action and will be at home on Tuesday, April 3 vs. Springfield Central.
