The City of Ava is requesting proposals from landscape architects/urban foresters to develop a comprehensive tree planting and maintenance plan for the city cemetery. Deadline for completion of the plan will be COB on May 11, 2012.

The City intends to submit a grant proposal to the Missouri Department of Conservation Tree Resource Improvement and Maintenance (T.R.I.M.) program. The grant application must include a tree planting plan with map and a three year maintenance plan. Applicants familiar with the T.R.I.M. program are encouraged to submit proposals.

In evaluating the qualifications of each firm the City will use the following criteria:

 

1). The specialized experience and technical competence of the firm with respect to the type of services required:

2). The capacity and capability of the firm to perform the work in question, including specialized services, within the time limitations fixed for the completion of the project;

3). The past record of performance of the firm with respect to such factors as control of costs, quality of work, and ability to meet schedules;

4). The firm’s proximity to and familiarity with the area in which the project is located.

The City of Ava reserves the right to negotiate with the selected consultant as to the scope of services and fees.
