Filing For Primary Election Opens Next Tuesday
Filing opens next Tuesday for the Aug. 7 primary election.
In county elections, voters will be electing two county district commissioners, sheriff, assessor, public administrator, coroner, surveyor, and township committeemen and committeewomen.
Voters in Douglas, Ozark and Wright counties will also elect a circuit judge for the 44th Circuit. In other district elections involving Douglas County, a state representative for the new District 155 will be elected, and a U.S. representative for the 8th Congressional District will be elected.
In statewide races, Missouri voters will be electing a U.S. Senator, governor, lieutenant governor, secretary of state, state treasurer, and attorney general.
Filing will begin at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, and continue through Tuesday, March 27, at 5 p.m.
Candidates in Douglas County will file in the County Clerk’s office.
