Aug 7, 2008

Two men have been sentenced to the Department of Corrections for offenses in Douglas County.

Prosecuting Attorney Chris Wade said Timmy Caudill, 49, Ava, pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated as an aggravated offender and received five years with the Department of Corrections. The sentence has a 120-day call back, which means he could be released in 120 days when his case is reviewed.

Nathan Hicks, 49, of Willow Springs, was sentenced to 12 years in the Department of Corrections. He had previously pleaded guilty on Nov. 2, 2004, to manufacturing a controlled substance. He admitted his probation violation and was sentenced to the term in prison, according to information released by the prosecutor’s office.
