Jul 3, 2008

Changes in the commercial drivers license (CDL) testing procedure will be explained at a public meeting next Thursday morning, July 10, at Willow Springs.

Captain B.E. Chadwick, commanding officer of Troop G, Willow Springs, announces that the public meeting will be held at Troop G Headquarters, N. Business Route U.S. Highways 60-63, Willow Springs, at 9:30 a.m.

The meeting will include a PowerPoint presentation and is anticipated to last one hour. At approximately 11 a.m., a practical demonstration of the 2005 CDL standards basic skills maneuvers will be given at the G-1-E scale house, located three miles north of Willow Springs on U.S. Highways 60-63.

Troop G driver examiners will use a tractor-trailer unit and a school bus to help demonstrate the new basic skill maneuvers that will be required in upcoming tests.

All interested parties are invited to attend this meeting.
