Family members and friends of Jonathan Batcheller are hosting a benefit auction and pie supper this Friday evening, June 27, at the Ava Middle School gym. Jonathan, an 18 year-old May graduate of Ava High School, was seriously injured in a single car accident May 26, and continues as a patient at Cox South Hospital. All proceeds from the benefit will assist Jonathan and his family with medical expenses. The fundraiser begins Friday evening with food service at 5 p.m., and an auction which starts at 6:30 p.m., will be hosted by Guerin Auction Service, and Dillon Gross, Lucky G Auction Service. According to benefit organizers, local businesses and individuals in the community have been generous in their support of the event, and there are many fine items available for auction.
