Nominations are being accepted for the 2008 Hall of Fame award given by the Ava High School alumni, an honor that is announced each year at the Alumni Banquet. Nominees are individuals who have demonstrated an exemplary career in the Ava school system. Recommendations should also provide insight as to how this individual made a significant impact on your life or that of someone you know. Past administrators or teachers that have received the honor include - Daisy Ellis, Florence Garrison, Una Ellison, Shirley Piland, Trellis Dewhirst, Minnie Dean, C.W. Parker, Emmett Norman, Wayne Powell, Don Sallee, Lena McClendon, Lawrence Barnes, Bill Cradic, Mary Lou Sallee, Jim Norman, Max Decker, Larry Silvey, Ann Hunt and Mary Bressie.
