Heath Honored by Missouri
Bill Heath, a former school board member from the Ava R-I School District, has been honored by the Missouri School Boards’ Association for his 15 years of service as a local board member. The recognition is part of MSBA’s 50th Anniversary Celebration this year.
Heath served as school board president during his tenure as a board member. He also served on the MSBA Board of Directors and part of the Region 15 Regional Leadership Committee.
In a nomination letter, the Ava Board of Education stated: “We have had only two meetings since the election, but already we sorely miss Bill’s presence on the board. However, we know if we need him he will come to help out anytime. We will miss his leadership and appreciate the time he has given to our community, our schools and our children.”
Heath was honored during the 2008 MSBA Leadership Summit held June 6-7 in Branson.
The Missouri School Boards’ Association is a private, not-for-profit organization that exists to help school boards succeed.
