EMA Will Conduct ‘Hotwash’ Monday
The Ava/Douglas County Emergency Management office will conduct a “hotwash” next Monday morning for all emergency responders, law enforcement, and local government leaders. The purpose of the meeting is to go over what worked and what didn’t work during the minutes, hours and days following the May 2 tornado that hit Ava.
The meeting will be held at the Little/Tost Training Center in the Rawlings Building.
All emergency responders are expected to attend, along with agencies such as health care providers, DFS, and others who were involved in any way in providing emergency care.
The ICS 400 class will start at 1 p.m. the same day and will continue on Tuesday.
The “hotwash” meeting will begin with breakfast at 8 a.m. and the meeting at 9 o’clock. Those planning to attend are asked to RSVP EMA directors Ron and Teresa Tost at 683-3315.
